13 January 2003 Announcement
We were saddened yesterday to learn of the death of Aunty Polly Hovell. She passed away quite suddenly yesterday morning. Her husband, Stanley (Jinks) died just three months ago. She had cared for him through years of sickness and when he died her own health just went down hill.. Pare Mihi Hovell taught for more than forty five years and after retirement gave years of service as a minister of the Anglican Church at Te Araroa and throughout the Coast. Hers was a life of dedication to duty and she was a very much respected member of the East Coast community. Our sympathy goes out to her son, Hal, and her grandchildren and great grand children.
